The JW Vibe Review
Much like Lightfoot in his heyday, Ward’s lyrics are so vivid that listeners will want to hang on to every turn of phrase in anticipation of the next. Walking on the Wire is an instant indie folk/AAA classic!”

Indie Band Guru Review
“Our friend Gordon Thomas Ward has been in this [artistic] life for quite a while, and his artistic output shows no signs of slowing down with the release of his newest album Walking On The Wire… His storytelling approach to songwriting highlights the real human condition. This makes his songs relatable and mesmerizing to us all… Strong songwriting, warm instrumentation, and catchy melodies.”

You're going to love this!

As an independent artist, I'm proud to have this record released with the generosity of the best fans in the world!

I’m so thankful to announce that Walking on the Wire includes musicians Noel Paul Stookey (from Peter, Paul, and Mary), Kevin Barry (James Taylor’s and Jackson Browne’s bands), and Eric Troyer (James Taylor, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, and ELO II). In addition, you'll hear Pat Wictor, Emily Mure, Ronnie Bouffard,  Jud Caswell, Robby Coffin, Scott Elliott, William J. Hall, Andy Happel, Ben Hunsberger, Marilyn Krentzman, and April Reed-Cox.

I’m also extremely thankful and proud to have partnered with you, my fans, again to bring some new music into this world. I’m excited, and I hope you are, too. We've made a legendary record together!

Walking on the Wire consists of thirteen songs, which are solidly in the adult alternative genre with some very radio friendly material for AAA FM radio stations. This project has also been an opportunity for me to stretch my musical footprint a bit more. Along with my acoustic guitars and vocals, I've had the opportunity to add mellotron, electric guitar, and organ to the mix of instruments I play on the record. I even got to write a part for English horn! It's been a blast recording with a bunch of top-drawer musicians, and working very closely, once again, with my friend, recording engineer, and co-producer Jud Caswell at his Frog Hollow Studio in Topsham, Maine.

I can't wait for you to hear this record! I can promise you that you're going to LOVE all of the music and every single song on Walking on the Wire!

Now that you both listen to my music from above, I also get to thank our new pup Jasper for learning not to bark at the big, scary guitars that make noise. Once again, big scratches behind the ears for Ollie, the studio dog, for not barking when the mic was live. Gretchen, big hugs, love, and endless appreciation to you for your support of my creativity since we were both very young. You know I’ll always be looking for Sulphur butterflies. “Now and Then” is dedicated to Ben.
